Small Business Web Marketing - How to Incorporate Your Keywords Into Your Website

After you have identified your keywords, what do we do with them?  Well, you will want to incorporate those keywords onto your website!

Here is a simplified description of the process of "On-Site SEO":

First of all, you want to select one keyword for each page on your website.  For example, if “accountant in Chicago” was your main keyword, then you would select that keyword for your home page.

You should also keep the name of your business at the front of each Title tag.  For instance, if your accounting firm was called "Smith Accounting," then your Title tag for your home page should be "Smith Accounting - Accountant in Chicago."

Next, you want to incorporate the main keyword for each of your web pages into your Title tags, Meta descriptions, and Meta  keywords.  Your Title tags will be the Title of your web page, while the Meta description will provide the description of your page.

When you conduct a search for any keyword on Google, the Title tag will show up on the organic search with the Meta description
beneath it.  Therefore, you want your Title tag and Meta description to make sense so that people will be more willing to click on your link!
