Small Business Internet Marketing: Do You Have This Nearly-Automated Marketing System?

An autoresponder will do several important things for your business:

1. You can create opt-in forms to place on the pages of your website, so that you can start collecting the contact information of visitors to your site.  How can you get visitors to give you their contact information?  Simply offer them some sort of free gift, newsletter, or other incentive.   

2. You will start to build a list/database of leads and/or clients.  By enticing the visitors to your website to give you their contact information, you will begin to build a database of leads that you can market your products and/or services to over and over again.

3. You will be able to communicate and sell to the leads and/or clients in your database – automatically.  With an autoresponder service, you can set up a bunch of e-mails that will be sent to the people on your list at scheduled times.  For instance, you can have your autoresponder e-mails set up so that your list gets an e-mail from you once a week.  Your e-mails can be informative, personal, sell something –it’s up to you.

By building a large list of leads and/or clients, you can simply e-mail them when you have a promotion, special deals, etc. which cuts down on your advertising costs.  By sending out e-mails to your list about products and/or services that you are offering, you will, most likely, be able to generate additional revenue to help boost your profits as well.
